Did I hear you say Coupon?

Couponing has become a hobby for me. I have been shopping the last two days and have saved my family of five $106.56 spending ONLY $37.58 and everything I bought I have a use for. I agree there are coupons distributed to make you buy things that you would never buy normally but you have to know your boundaries. Take time and look at all the ads and shop around dont just go to one store and buy everything there. Do your homework take you time and make lists. While your there check the clearance rack and buy your air fresheners there and household items before you make your way down that isle!!! Here are my items for Monday & Tuesday:
Walgreens was my First Stop/ (I did two trips)
Airwick Starter Kit on clearance for $4.29 MF coupon $4 final price .29

School.

Well it's been a trying, exciting, fun & exhausting two weeks. The kids went back to school. Now I have two school age children Jordan is in 3rd grade, Alyssa is in 2nd grade & AJ is in Pre-School (VPK). Today was the first time we had AJ do the extended two hour program after his instructional 3 hours, he asked us yesterday after we picked him up if he could take a "rest" at school after his lunch. So I made a dash to walmart after work last night while I was there I picked up the nap mat that looks so uncomfortable (I will be searching the www for a new one), this morning packed his Rays pillow pet, Bucs blanket and off he went without one tear in his eye. Almost skipping out the door with excitement!

love how he is not on the mat all the way,
also the pillow pet was down by his feet. ha

Something So Basic Should Not Be So Hard

Food. Yes food. I've been struggling with my addiction to horrible food. I was not a small child when I was younger but when I hit middle school I got in shape by swimming over a summer and kept the weight off through high school with a lot of hard work, I worked out every day sometimes twice a day. THEN...I had a child and it was a up and down battle that I've been struggling with ever since. (I have 3 children) I hate, Hate, hate my body. I have to get a hold of it before it breaks me down. I was just in the hospital a week ago and I know that if I take better care of myself then my health may just get better. My heart is the issue, it was the way I was born what is wrong is not something that I can control, but maybe just maybe I can make it a little better for it.
I'm not sure where to start since I am always on the go. I'm working a horrible shift that makes eatting get late I mean LATE! So there is no dinner bell at 6pm like most "diets" say to do. So what, what do I do? I'm going to call my go to person on this question my sister in law who is married to my awesome brother who happens to be a chef with two very sucessful restaurants and a great cookbook that is not for the faint of heart! I will call you sis! If you happen to read this before I get to you shoot me a email full of ideas that dont break the wallet! :) Or if someone out there in cyber space is listening please give me a starting point.
Until then XoXo...

Little Boys & Their Toys

My oldest was a young sprout when we introduced him to his first gaming device.  It was an immediate obsession upon that first viewing. Now that I have two sons, this gaming has taken over my life. My youngest first words when he wakes are "mommy I play games?". If I happen to say no he throws a full-blown tantrum. Now let me tell you, you can put him on any device and he will throw down with the teens, adults and all. Most of the time if not all of the time he will beat you at every game possible. Do I have a gamer on my hands or just a boy with his toy? I really thought that this was a stage but nope the days pass with all day gaming (please save me the lecture on how bad it is for my child to be playing games at such a tender age). I'm just glad he is occupied when I need to get things done. Other times we outside swimming, on his powerwheels or at the park down the road. Am I a horrible mother to be letting my kid(s) play games for more than the recomended hour a day?

Color of the Week!

My pick this week is OPI Cajun Shrimp. I did both my toes (2 coats on the piggies) and nails (I had to use 3 coats to get the right color), that for me is huge I normally only wear dark colors but seeing that it is almost Spring it has inspired me to let the dark go. I'm on an Essie kick but when I saw this color at the salon today while getting my brows done, I just had to have it. It retails for $8.00USD and can be bought at most drug stores and nail salons. I finished with none other than Essie top coat and am VERY impressed...this will be my go to color this Spring/Summer. You Like? Sassy?

Clutter...Mutter

OK, so today I might have to tackle some household chores.
I am becoming such a hoarder (no not TLC sort, but I feel I need to keep everything my kids make.
I also need to decide that maybe that shirt I have had for 8 years needs to be given to goodwill.
No matter what I do and how much I clean, I feel my place is always cluttered.
I have mail & magazines that never get read.
I'm behind on our laundry times 5 (not a pretty site). I need to finish Alyssa's Bug project, so much to do and no energy to do it. I did tackle the g-store today picked up some crab meat, shrimp and other sea food delights for my dinner tonight. I'm going to eat better and I think that will make me feel better in the long run. Well I'm off to Target to go get some case's to organize my nail polish (more on that later).

Aliens Stole My Body

OK so aliens didn't really steal my body but it's the only acceptable answer I can think of. It started the other day when I got out of the shower and got a glimpse of myself in the mirror. After 3 kids and every diet I can be on, the question remains what should I do now? Start running, go to the gym, or just sit down and have a bowl of that pasta? I know I'm not going to run my heart would most likely send me to the ER for a week (thanks mom for those genes).
Aging is not for the faint-of heart. It's like a horror story that never ends. I'm going to start with little walks every night with the kids in tow sometimes and park play where I actually do more than just sit down on the bench and watch the kids in action.  We have an awesome park at the tip of our fingers and have the best off road on road power wheels a kid could ask for (pictures to come). So off I go to try and get a hold of my body again....

Justin Bieber Movie in Review

My daughter has the "Bieber Fever". So I took her to see the movie this past Sunday to spend some mother/daughter time. I must admit that the movie at the start made me tear up, his story is just amazing. But my daughter was lost, not happy and kept asking "is it over yet"??? She had to go potty twice during the movie, then messed up her 3D glasses twice with all the popcorn butter on her fingers. Needless to say she did not like the movie like I anticipated her too. Not worth your time or money to see this movie with a 6 year old no matter how much she has the "fever".
(sorry the picture is not great quality but it was taken on my blackberry)

Polish of the Week.

Oscar Inspired.
Essie Forever Young is a classic vintage red that is a good staple. This .5 ounce bottle retails for about $10.00 USD. Whenever I use this polish, I apply two coats which cover nails well. I do not have any streaking or thin spots. I apply Nicole OPI Top Coat to make it shine. I find this polish will last a couple of days without any chips.
