Well this subject just causes utter chaos in my house when I bring it up. Okay okay a little back story. I grew up with a very strict structured for a better word stepmother who taught us at a very young age the importance of chores. No we didn't get allowance for them either. I was 5 when I started unloading the dishwasher and helping with setting the table and cleaning it up. I think that I was 10 when I did my first load of wash, and was folding like a pro by the age of 12. I swept, moped, vacuumed, dusted etc. etc... I of course like every child hated that I had to do said chores, but now as an adult I am so grateful to have the skills of running a household. These days kids have Nanny's, maids etc... (well I had a nanny too, a live in one to be truthful) but she never did our chores or laundry. So now that I have 3 children of my own Jordan (11), Alyssa (9), and Andrew (6) I am struggling with chores or any clean up for that matter. I had such respect for my parents and really was scared of them. My kids smirk at me when it comes to discipline. So now I'm on a mommy quest on the www to find a structured chore schedule and chart for the kiddies. So where did our moms turn without the internet? I couldn't image. I wish MaryAnn was here to guide me in the right direction but she's among the angles in heaven. I miss her dearly. Until Then, Nicole
I have SO much to catch you up on! One of my New Years resolutions is to blog once a day & I'm going to do it.

BTW- I've moved to NC, but why bore you with that story lets just pick up from there & show what fun things were doing now since the move :)
Couponing has become a hobby for me. I have been shopping the last two days and have saved my family of five $106.56 spending ONLY $37.58 and everything I bought I have a use for. I agree there are coupons distributed to make you buy things that you would never buy normally but you have to know your boundaries. Take time and look at all the ads and shop around dont just go to one store and buy everything there. Do your homework take you time and make lists. While your there check the clearance rack and buy your air fresheners there and household items before you make your way down that isle!!! Here are my items for Monday & Tuesday:

Well it's been a trying, exciting, fun & exhausting two weeks. The kids went back to school. Now I have two school age children Jordan is in 3rd grade, Alyssa is in 2nd grade & AJ is in Pre-School (VPK). Today was the first time we had AJ do the extended two hour program after his instructional 3 hours, he asked us yesterday after we picked him up if he could take a "rest" at school after his lunch. So I made a dash to walmart after work last night while I was there I picked up the nap mat that looks so uncomfortable (I will be searching the www for a new one), this morning packed his Rays pillow pet, Bucs blanket and off he went without one tear in his eye. Almost skipping out the door with excitement!
Food. Yes food. I've been struggling with my addiction to horrible food. I was not a small child when I was younger but when I hit middle school I got in shape by swimming over a summer and kept the weight off through high school with a lot of hard work, I worked out every day sometimes twice a day. THEN...I had a child and it was a up and down battle that I've been struggling with ever since. (I have 3 children) I hate, Hate, hate my body. I have to get a hold of it before it breaks me down. I was just in the hospital a week ago and I know that if I take better care of myself then my health may just get better. My heart is the issue, it was the way I was born what is wrong is not something that I can control, but maybe just maybe I can make it a little better for it.
I'm not sure where to start since I am always on the go. I'm working a horrible shift that makes eatting get late I mean LATE! So there is no dinner bell at 6pm like most "diets" say to do. So what, what do I do? I'm going to call my go to person on this question my sister in law who is married to my awesome brother who happens to be a chef with two very sucessful restaurants and a great cookbook that is not for the faint of heart! I will call you sis! If you happen to read this before I get to you shoot me a email full of ideas that dont break the wallet! :) Or if someone out there in cyber space is listening please give me a starting point.
Until then XoXo...
